Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why do you use soy-based wax? While it can be harder to work with, soy wax ultimately is the highest quality with the best experience. It provides low/no soot (soot can ruin the aesthetic of your candle and is an irritant to breath), while still providing strong hot and cold throw (strength of scent when burning versus not burning).
-
What makes the scents you use superior and non-toxic? OurOur scents are the highest cost component of creating the actual candles (excluding the vessels we pour the candles into). We only use scents that are Phthalate free, which are chemicals often used in plastics, cleaners, and cosmetics that have been shown to increase health risks. The fragrance scents (not essential oils) we use also have a much more realistic (versus artificial) smell.

Why did you choose the small glass jars and the larger concrete vessels for your candles? Both materials are recyclable, if you don’t choose to reuse them. The simplistic look of the clear or amber glass and the hand-poured concrete allows for the aromatic experience to take center stage instead its vessel. That is also why our label is a clean, simple design.
